RIde-to-montauk fundraiser
On September 14, 2024, Team Rosebuds came together to participate in the Ride-to-Montauk 50-mile ride in honor of our beloved Rose Mary Perez, who tragically passed away last year after a brief and fierce battle with a rare form of cancer. The ride, which took us through several towns Rose loved, was a beautiful tribute to her spirit and a way to carry forward her legacy.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of all who supported us, Team Rosebuds raised $22,000 for the Rose Mary Perez Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships to first-generation, Spanish-speaking women pursuing finance degrees at St. John’s University, Rose’s alma mater. Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting this cause, ensuring that Rose’s legacy continues to empower future female leaders in finance.
The event was lovingly organized and led by Susan Fellner, one of Rose's closest and dearest friends, who has been a guiding force in keeping Rose’s memory and vision alive.
